The Director of Nursing is a leadership role responsible for advising and overseeing the clinical aspect of care provided to our clients as directed by BrightStar Care and our Joint Commission accreditation quality and safety guidelines.
We are a full service home care company and we provide skilled nursing, personal care and Therapy services.
Responsibilities:
This is a leadership role and will be a part of the executive leadership team.
You will oversee the clinical operations for the branch and ensure complaince to Joint commission standards.
Own the case management function for the branch Oversee the care giving staff and own/create the plan of care with regular checkins and patient follow ups.
Oversee the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
Maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Liaison with Aides, Nurses and Therapist for scheduling shifts and ongoing employee engagement Infusion skills is highly desirable Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.
Requirements Current active New Jersey (NJ) RN license.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Reliable car/auto insurance Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff.
Comply with accepted professional standards of practice.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Analytic/Critical thinker.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community.
Treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
